Amiga – Chip 8

A new version 1.0 of the Chip8 Amiga emulator Vision-8 written by Marcel De Kogel has been released, and has been ported to many different systems. It’s a full-featured emulator that works on any 286, even with a CGA graphics card.

Playstation – Emu News 💥

Truth or Fake PSX

The emulation scene is abuzz with unconfirmed news about another PlayStation emulator, this time entirely Italian. We don’t have any information on it, but we’ll keep you updated.

Arcade – Juno First Emulator

Version 1.11 – Fixed a bug which causes a crash due to Juno First selecting the

4th character set in test mode, when there are only 3. Thanks to Cameron Mac

Millan for helping with this one.

Arcade – Callus Manager 95 Frontend

The fantastic Callus Manager 95 version 1.0 has been released, now supporting zipped ROMs, and featuring improved keyboard support and the inclusion of a built-in PCX viewer. Now you have no more excuses not to download this fantastic Callus frontend (in my opinion, the best).

Arcade – Go Callus

A version of the very Italian Go Callus (a frontend for Callus) has been released in version 1.0.3, and the most notable new feature is that it now supports zipped ROMs. In short, from now on, you can use the various games without having to unzip them, thus saving space on your hard drive.

Arcade – Joy EMU

Version 4.1 of its Joy EMU utility has been released (for those who don’t know, this utility is useful for all emulators that do not have joystick support. As this utility “emulates” the keyboard keys directly in the joystick).

Nintendo 64 – Project Unreality 0.1a

For a few days now, there’s been talk in the newsgroups about an emulator called Project Unreality. It’s the first (virtually working) emulator that emulates (or at least tries to emulate) a Nintendo 64, and users will already be shouting “miracle”… Well, I wanted to tell you once and for all that it’s a Nintendo 64 emulator in version 0.1. The author would like to point out a very important detail: the current version of Project Unreality doesn’t run any games (so forget about Super Mario 64), as it’s a version whose purpose is to emulate only the CPU. So if you’re curious to see its debugger (since it’s the only thing that works), I recommend downloading it. Otherwise, wait for the next versions, which should start emulating the first games.

Arcade – Ultra Callus Frontend

Big news
Version 1.21 of Ultra Callus (the best Callus frontend for Windows 95) has been released.
